  Club are holding a practical-style gallery rifle & pistol match at Chelye
 smore Range Bay B in the evening (17:00-21:00) on Friday 26th January 2024
 . The range is enclosed and under cover so we are sheltered from any adver
 se weather! It will be run by seasoned international practical and gallery
  shooters\, and will involve various sizes of IPSC targets on turning targ
 et frames at 5-25m in an IPSC Virginia Counts format (defined maximum roun
 d count on each stage with penalties for extra shots). Think of it as a th
 ree-way crossover between practical shooting\, speed steels and gallery ri
 fle. There are 7 stages of snap shooting\, rapid reloads and disappearing 
 targets. They have been carefully designed to be achievable for all but st
 ill test the best of shooters. The stages and scoring method can be seen h
 ere: Ryan\, our NRA-qualified Instructor and Range Safety Officer\, will b
 e on hand with additional ROs to ensure the shoot runs smoothly and for an
 y coaching you require. So even if you are new to this type of shooting th
 ere will be plenty of guidance on hand! Divisions include: - .22 rifle - P
 istol-calibre rifle (e.g. 9mm\, .38\, .357\, .44 etc) - Long-barrel pistol
  - Long-barrel revolver Club guns are available for hire for those who nee
 d them. Even if static shooting is not usually your thing\, this will be p
 henomenal fun and great practice for the practical shooters amongst you! T
 here is a (warm!) hospitality room with view of the range that has tea & c
 offee making facilities\, as well as disabled-access toilet facilities. Sn
 acks will be provided! There will be opportunity to test and zero guns bef
 ore the match starts. There is space for up to 20 shooters but non-shootin
 g guests are welcome! Come down for some post-Christmas cheer and we look
