Target Shotgun Training Course - NRA Curriculum

NRA curriculum Target Shotgun safety course. This course is a mixture of classroom training and range time. This one day Target shotgun safety course will provide the fundamental skills for taking part in Target Shotgun (TS) events and competitions. The day comprised of both classroom and practical range work, with expert coaching from national and international level shooters on topics including types of firearms, equipment and positional shooting techniques Entry Fee: £90 

LUNCH IS NOT INCLUDED. Please bring a packed lunch. 

Firearms & Ammunition: Attendees can bring their own shotgun (Semi automatic or pump action only, no over under shotguns.) If not yet in possession of a suitable firearm attendees can have use of a shared Club section 2 Target Shotgun for the day, and purchase sufficient ammunition alongside their entry. You will need 50-75 cartridges.

Entry Requirement: This Skills Day is open to Full members of Home Office Approved Clubs (HOAC).

Shooter Certification Card (SCC): Each civilian shooting on a MoD or NRA range has to carry a SCC issued by the chairman of a club of which they are a member and which is affiliated to the NRA. Entrants MUST be in possession of their SCC when shooting on NRA ranges. 

Shooter Certification Card (SCC) Assessment: If you are an NRA Member and wish to add "Target Shotgun" to your SCC you can undertake an assessment during the event. There is no additional fee, but you will need to advise us when booking that you would like to do the assessment. Non-Members can take the same assessment, and will be presented with a certificate of attendance. Your Club Chairman may then decide to authorise “Target Shotgun” to be added to your SCC.
